| Shelly, The Human Tortoise is a fantasy creature in a plexiglass museum display case containing artifacts and treasures relating to her life. The little Shelly gently rotates in front of a painted banner that advertises her as a live attraction. The fairy tale on a painted papyrus scroll tells the story of the union of her mother, a tortoise, with a man of gentle spirit in a time when turtles ruled, and all animals were protected. |
